England International and Sydney Roosters Star Arrested.

England international and NRL star Dom Young was pulled over by police last week for an unusual reason: an outstanding ambulance bill. The speedy winger was stopped in the Sydney beachside suburb of Maroubra.

The bill was issued after Young was taken to the hospital following a crusher tackle during a Roosters trial match against the Manly Sea Eagles in February. Manly prop Toafofoa Sipley received a three-match ban for the incident, but Young was still billed for the ambulance service.

In New South Wales, residents receive a 49 percent subsidy for ambulance services but must pay the remaining 51 percent. Young believed the bill had been sent to the Roosters, not to him personally, which led to the police stop. The Sydney club will now cover the cost.
