Indiana Target Braylon Mullins Impresses National Analyst with Dramatic Rise in Rankings

Braylon Mullins, standout from Greenfield-Central and Indiana Elite, made the most significant leap in 247Sports’ updated class of 2025 basketball recruiting rankings. Moving up from No. 92 to No. 24 nationally, the 6-foot-5 guard and target of Indiana displayed impressive form throughout the spring and summer seasons on the adidas 3SSB circuit. Mullins now ranks as the No. 5 shooting guard in his class and the No. 3 player hailing from Indiana.

During his junior season at Greenfield-Central High School (Ind.), Mullins averaged 25.0 points per game with a remarkable 64 effective field goal percentage, despite battling back and wrist injuries for a substantial part of the year. His standout performances continued this spring on the 3SSB circuit, where he contributed 19.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.0 steals per game, helping lead the undefeated Indiana Elite team. He also maintained impressive shooting percentages: 61.6% from 2-point range, 43.5% from beyond the arc, and 78.6% from the free throw line.

Adam Finkelstein, Director of Basketball Scouting at 247Sports, lauded Mullins’ abilities following his notable rise in the rankings, describing him as a versatile player with strong defensive instincts and scoring prowess.

Mullins’ recruitment has surged in recent weeks, drawing interest from top-tier programs including UConn, Kansas, North Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Wisconsin, and Virginia. Indiana, which offered Mullins early in his recruitment process, remains a strong contender with Mullins planning official visits to Bloomington and other prominent schools in the coming months.
