The Oklahoma State Cowboys continue to strengthen their 2025 recruiting class with a significant addition on Wednesday. Three-star safety Ayden Webb has committed to Oklahoma State, opting for the Cowboys over several other programs including Houston, Kansas, Pittsburgh, and more. Webb’s decision marks the fourth commitment to Oklahoma State within the past week, and notably, the third addition to bolster the defensive side of the ball.
Webb, who received an offer from Oklahoma State in February, made his commitment official following an official visit to Stillwater in early April. His rapport with defensive coordinator Bryan Nardo played a pivotal role in his decision.
“Nardo was real,” Webb shared with GoPokes247. “He told me about his past and how he got into coaching. I really liked that honesty from him.”
Throughout the recruitment process, Webb maintained communication with safeties coach Dan Hammerschmidt and prospect analyst Cameron O’Neal, solidifying his connection with the Cowboys’ coaching staff.
“Coach Hammer is a chill and cool guy,” Webb commented. “I watched him coach on my official and I really liked the drills and how they run that defense.”

With Webb’s commitment, Oklahoma State’s 2025 class now features 15 public commits, with the Dallas-Fort Worth area contributing significantly as Webb becomes the fifth recruit from that region. Notably, 10 of Oklahoma State’s 15 commitments hail from Texas, underscoring the Cowboys’ recruiting focus in the Lone Star State.
Webb expressed his excitement about joining friends and fellow recruits at Oklahoma State, a sentiment reinforced during his official visit.
“Everybody that I knew was committing,” Webb explained. “They’ve been telling me to (commit) since my official visit. I loved the visit.”
Standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing 160 pounds, Webb is ranked as the No. 190 prospect in Texas for the 2025 class. His commitment adds depth to Oklahoma State’s defensive unit, joining fellow defensive recruits like three-star linebacker Donovan Jones, defensive lineman Jordan Covington, edge defender Kyle Keya, and defensive lineman Alexander McPherson.
With Webb’s commitment, Oklahoma State’s 2025 recruiting class now ranks No. 25 nationally and No. 4 in the Big 12 conference, showcasing the Cowboys’ commitment to building a competitive roster for the future.
