Arizona State Secures Commitment from Top Oklahoma RB Demarius Robinson for 2025

Arizona State football has added a major piece to its future roster, securing a 2025 commitment from Demarius Robinson, a three-star running back from Oklahoma. Robinson made his decision known on Wednesday, choosing the Sun Devils over fellow Big 12 schools Kansas State and Houston.

Robinson, who visited Tempe for the team’s spring game in April, is rated as a top-10 prospect in Oklahoma and a top-45 running back nationally for the 2025 recruiting class by 247 Sports composite.

At Edmond Santa Fe High School, Robinson excelled in a run-heavy offensive system. He amassed 2,139 rushing yards on 213 carries, averaging 10 yards per carry and nearly 200 yards per game. His impressive season included 28 touchdowns, highlighting his role as a workhorse back. In addition to his football prowess, Robinson is also a track athlete, clocking a 100-meter time of 11.33 seconds.

Robinson’s commitment marks the 19th addition to ASU’s 2025 class, propelling the Sun Devils to 14th nationally in recruiting rankings. He is the first running back in the class, further solidifying ASU’s future backfield.

Robinson cited the welcoming environment and favorable weather in Tempe as key factors in his decision. “It’s good weather out there, it’s not cold. It’s beautiful, a nice campus for sure. It feels something like home,” Robinson told SunDevilSource.com’s Chris Karpman. “I’m looking forward to being in the Big 12, just competing with those guys. I liked everything about it out there, that’s why I committed.”

Robinson plans to enroll at Arizona State in January, joining the team for spring practices ahead of the 2025 fall season. His early arrival will give him a head start in adapting to college football and competing for a spot in the Sun Devils’ lineup.
