A Star Player Commits in the 2025 class to IU Building the Future of Indiana Football

Indiana football secured its 13th commitment for the 2025 class with the addition of three-star defensive lineman Keishaun Calhoun, who announced his pledge to the Hoosiers on Thursday evening.

Calhoun, rated as the No. 104 defensive line prospect and the 51st player in Ohio for 2025 by 247Sports, becomes one of IU’s top recruits in this recruiting cycle.

After visiting Indiana officially on June 18, the 6-foot-4, 245-pound Calhoun quickly decided to join the Hoosiers. He cited Indiana’s commitment to fostering a winning culture under the guidance of the coaching staff, embracing the ethos of the ‘new Indiana’ emerging from the 2025 recruiting efforts.

“Indiana is really focused on building a winning program, from the coaching staff to the entire team,” Calhoun shared with Peegs.com. “Everyone is dedicated to turning things around and embracing the ‘new Indiana’ mindset.”

Calhoun, hailing from Groveport Madison High School in Groveport, Ohio, selected Indiana over offers from several other programs including Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, and others. In his junior year, Calhoun earned distinctions such as Second Team All-District and First Team All-Conference. According to 247Sports, he ranks among the top 50 prospects in Ohio and is recognized as a promising talent at his position nationally.
