Maryland Secures $98 Million Partnership Extension
Maryland and Under Armour announced on Monday a 12-year, $98 million contract extension that runs through 2036.
This new deal, averaging over $8 million annually, represents a nearly $5 million increase from Maryland’s current contract with Under Armour, which was established in 2014.
The agreement also includes a name, image, and likeness (NIL) program, enabling student-athletes to earn money by promoting Under Armour on social media.
Under Armour has been outfitting Maryland football since 2004, making the Terps the first collegiate team to wear Under Armour jerseys. The brand became the department-wide outfitter in 2009 and will continue to supply game-day apparel for Maryland’s varsity athletic teams.
