TCU Lands Top Talent 2025 Four-Star WR Star Player Commits to Horned Frogs

Over the weekend, TCU football enjoyed a successful recruiting effort highlighted by the commitment of standout wide receiver Dane Jones. Originally from Missouri City, Texas, Jones opted to join the Horned Frogs over offers from Florida, Missouri, and other collegiate programs.

His decision represents a significant addition to TCU’s 2025 recruiting class, which already includes pledges from receivers Ed Small and Chance Ables.

Jones, who stands 5-foot-11 and weighs 170 pounds, developed his athleticism and skills at Ridge Point High School. Nationally ranked among the top-500 prospects and recognized as the 75th best wide receiver and Texan prospect by the 247Sports composite ratings, Jones is noted for his speed and playmaking abilities.

Prior to Ridge Point, Jones showcased his talents at Shadow Creek High School, where he recorded 488 receiving yards and four touchdowns during his sophomore season in 2022. His football lineage includes an older brother, Seth, who excelled at the collegiate level for Baylor and SMU, underscoring the family’s athletic achievements.

With Jones committing to TCU, the Horned Frogs anticipate strengthening their receiving unit and maintaining momentum as they prepare for upcoming seasons in the competitive landscape of college football.
