The Alabama Crimson Tide football program received a significant boost on the recruiting trail on Saturday night. During an official visit to Alabama, 2025 four-star interior offensive lineman Micah DeBose announced his commitment to the Crimson Tide. DeBose chose Alabama over other top programs, including Florida, Ohio State, and LSU.
Alabama has been on a roll, securing commitments from four offensive linemen in the past two weeks. DeBose joins fellow four-star offensive linemen Michael Carroll and Jackson Lloyd, as well as three-star offensive lineman Mal Waldrep.
DeBose had previously committed to Georgia for nearly a year before reopening his recruitment to explore other options. The Vigor High School standout was a priority recruit for Alabama under head coach Nick Saban and offensive line coach Kalen DeBoer.

Originally from Columbus, Ohio, many considered the Buckeyes the long-term favorite to secure DeBose’s commitment. However, Alabama capitalized on a final official visit this weekend and leveraged longstanding relationships to land the blue-chip recruit.
Listed at 6-foot-5 and 315 pounds, DeBose is versatile enough to play both offensive guard and offensive tackle at the college level. His commitment is a significant win for the Alabama coaching staff, as he is one of the top-ranked linemen in the country and the best offensive lineman in the state for the 2025 recruiting class.
