Kansas State Wildcats Bolster Defense with 29-Year-Old Football Transfer

Chris Klieman and the Kansas State football program have secured a new addition. Jordan Dunbar, a 6-foot, 190-pound defensive back hailing from Rice University, has committed to join the Wildcats. A source within the K-State football community confirmed the news on Friday afternoon, following reports from both On3 and 247Sports. Dunbar opted for Kansas State over offers from Marshall, Western Kentucky, Temple, East Carolina, UNLV, Georgia Southern, and others. After completing his entire college football tenure at Rice, where he recorded 54 tackles and defended 17 passes across two seasons, Dunbar is set to arrive in Manhattan. Despite missing the previous season due to a redshirt, the talented defensive back earned honorable mention recognition from Conference USA as a sophomore. Now aiming to rejuvenate his career in the competitive Big 12 conference, Dunbar will join K-State as a junior with two years of eligibility remaining. He is expected to vie for playing time in the Wildcats’ secondary, offering potential depth and experience behind anticipated starting cornerbacks Keenan Garber and Jacob Parrish.
