Mavericks have proposed a $60 million offer to acquire a star player from the Trail Blazers.

The Dallas Mavericks, led by Luka Doncic, demonstrated their potential with the right supporting cast. Despite Kyrie Irving’s shortcomings, it was clear they had assembled a strong team around Doncic.

To capitalize on their championship window, the Mavericks are focused on strengthening their core. Reports suggest they are eyeing a prominent forward.

According to Ian Begley’s report via Legion Hoops, the Mavericks have shown interest in Jerami Grant’s availability with the Portland Trail Blazers. However, their current salary cap situation presents challenges for executing such a deal.

Grant, known for his defensive prowess and scoring ability, could significantly bolster a championship-caliber team. Nevertheless, Portland’s decision to sign him to a large contract before trading Damian Lillard raises questions, especially considering their rebuilding efforts.

With three years remaining on his contract, Grant could potentially provide the X-factor the Mavericks need under Jason Kidd’s leadership in future NBA Finals appearances.
