Secure Late Transfer and RB Commit, Now Recruiting Top Prospects

Over the weekend, the Auburn football program welcomed defensive back transfer Jahquez Robinson into its ranks. Hailing from Jacksonville, Florida, Robinson initially played three seasons at Alabama before transferring to Colorado last season.

Rated as a 4-star prospect and the #21 cornerback in the class of 2020, Robinson was recruited to Alabama by then-associate defensive coordinator Charles Kelly, whom he followed to Colorado. Now, Robinson reunites with Kelly in Auburn’s orange and blue uniform.

During his 2023 season at Colorado, Robinson contributed eight tackles and secured an interception. With two years of eligibility remaining, he joins the Tigers to bolster their secondary depth following significant departures.

In addition to Robinson’s addition, Auburn secured a commitment from highly-regarded 4-star running back Alvin Henderson over the weekend.

Although Henderson had previously committed to Penn State in April, Auburn’s persistent recruitment efforts, led by head coach Hugh Freeze, swayed him to choose the Tigers.

Expressing his commitment to Auburn, Henderson now aims to recruit other top talents to join him on the Plains. He has targeted defensive backs Blake Woodby and Anquon Fegans, along with Elijah Menendez, a 4-star linebacker currently committed to Miami.

“The goal is to bring in top-tier talent,” Henderson stated, highlighting his intent to strengthen Auburn’s recruiting class of 2025, which currently comprises 16 commits and holds a competitive ranking.
