Pitt’s 2025 recruiting class expands to include 17 high school seniors.

Pat Narduzzi had an ideal weekend, wrapping up Sunday with five verbal commitments from 2025 prospects during the final June official visit weekend. Four confirmed their decisions on social media, with one remaining unidentified. Pitt’s recruiting class now includes 17 confirmed high school seniors.

Running back Synkwan Smith was the fourth to confirm, standing at 5-foot-9, 165 pounds, matching offensive coordinator Kade Bell’s preferred profile. Smith, a 3-star prospect from Roswell High School in Georgia, accumulated over 1,500 all-purpose yards last season and holds 18 scholarship offers, including from Kansas, Kansas State, and Georgia Tech.

Additionally, three-star recruits Emmanuel Taylor (6-foot-2, 195 pounds), who can play wide receiver and linebacker, wide receiver Kha’Leal Sterling (5-10, 170), and offensive lineman Torian Chester (6-5, 320) also committed to Pitt this weekend. Taylor, from Green Run High School in Virginia Beach, has offers from Charlotte, Duke, Old Dominion, and Virginia Tech.

Sterling, from Miami Central High School, has offers from 15 schools including Arizona State, West Virginia, SMU, Oregon, Arkansas, and Indiana. Chester, attending Westover High School in Albany, Georgia, has offers from 13 schools, including UAB, East Carolina, Wofford, and Colorado State.

Pitt’s class is ranked 27th nationally and sixth in the ACC by Rivals.com. All commitments are verbal and non-binding until signing day in December.
