Top Prospect Chooses European Team After USC Decommitment

Four-star defensive end Isaiah Gibson, ranked 28th in the 2025 ESPN 300, chose to commit to Georgia on Monday, just six days after withdrawing his commitment from USC’s recruiting class under Lincoln Riley.

Gibson, identified as the No. 3 defensive end in his class by ESPN, hails from Warner Robins, Georgia, and had initially committed to USC on March 24 before reversing his decision last Tuesday.

He now stands as Georgia’s 12th ESPN 300 recruit for 2025, joining the Bulldogs alongside highly-regarded prospects like in-state outside linebacker Zayden Walker, who ranks 15th in the ESPN 300.

During his junior season, Gibson showcased his skills with 17 sacks and later explored various college options, visiting campuses such as Georgia, Auburn, South Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, and Ohio State before finalizing his decision.

His commitment bolsters Georgia’s defensive lineup, enhancing their standing as they aim to improve upon their current recruiting position in ESPN’s team rankings for the 2025 cycle.
