Tigers Maintain Strong Position in Top Tier…

The Tiger Army’s strong and consistent support shines through as we analyze total crowd numbers following the conclusion of all bye rounds in the 2024 AFL home-and-away season.

Despite Richmond holding 17th place on the ladder with a 2-12 record, they have attracted the fourth highest attendance among all 18 clubs. Their 14 matches have drawn a total of 648,788 fans, averaging 46,342 per game, with only Carlton, Collingwood, and Essendon surpassing them.

Notably, all three top clubs in attendance are also in the top four on the ladder and played at Adelaide Oval during Gather Round, while Richmond hosted St Kilda before a capacity crowd of 9,425 at Norwood Oval.

Richmond has been part of four out of 12 games in 2024 that drew more than 70,000 spectators, with only Carlton featuring in more (five).

Another significant turnout is anticipated when Richmond faces Carlton at the MCG this Sunday at 3:20pm, marking the first of four rounds where children enter for free.
