On Thursday, five-star quarterback Faizon Brandon unveiled his final four choices: LSU, Alabama, Tennessee, and NC State. Brandon also disclosed that he will announce his commitment on August 3.
Regarded as a top 10 prospect and the second-ranked quarterback by On3’s industry rankings, Brandon holds the highest acclaim from 247Sports, which places him as the top overall player in the 2026 recruiting class out of Grimsley High School in Greensboro, North Carolina.

LSU has secured two commitments for the 2026 class so far, positioning Brandon as a potential centerpiece recruit. However, Tennessee currently leads in the recruitment race with a crystal ball projection from 247Sports and strong favorability according to On3’s recruiting prediction model.
