Oklahoma State Boosts Linebacker Corps with JUCO Transfer Chris Robinson Commitment

On Wednesday, Oklahoma State secured a commitment from Kilgore College linebacker Chris Robinson, enhancing an already talented position group for the Cowboys.

Robinson’s decision follows a recent visit to Stillwater, where he received an offer from head coach Bryan Nardo and his staff. Prior to visiting Oklahoma State, Robinson explored options with other programs, including a visit to the Cougars under new head coach Willie Fritz.

Standing at 6-foot-1 and weighing 210 pounds, Robinson showcased his skills during his lone season at Kilgore College, recording 38 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, and two sacks across 11 games. His efforts contributed to Kilgore College’s impressive 9-2 season and Southwest Junior College Football Conference championship victory.

Robinson garnered attention from several Division I programs, including Missouri State, Eastern Kentucky, Texas Tech, New Mexico, Houston, and ultimately Oklahoma State.

Before his stint at Kilgore College, Robinson excelled at Harker Heights High School in Texas, located southwest of Waco. His commitment to Oklahoma State was acknowledged by fellow recruit Isaiah Butler-Tanner, a tight end commit for the Cowboys’ 2025 class from nearby Killeen, Texas.

With Robinson joining the roster, defensive coordinator Joe Bob Clements looks forward to bolstering the Cowboys’ linebacker depth for the upcoming 2024 season. Alongside returning standouts Nick Martin and Collin Oliver, Robinson’s addition is poised to elevate the Cowboys’ defensive capabilities significantly.

In addition to Robinson, Oklahoma State has also secured a commitment from 3-star linebacker Gunnar Wilson from Melissa High School in Texas, reinforcing their defensive lineup for the upcoming campaign.
