Wake Forest Signs Long-Term Contract Extension with IT Staffs

Susan R. Wente, President of Wake Forest University, announced today that John Currie’s contract has been extended, and he has been promoted to Vice President & Director of Athletics effective July 1.

Faculty Athletics Representative Dr. Peter Brubaker described Currie as a tireless, thoughtful, and transparent leader who has elevated Wake Forest’s athletic programs since his appointment as athletics director in 2019.
