Former Washington State and Idaho standout Isaac Jones has secured a spot in the NBA with the Sacramento Kings, signing a two-way contract on Thursday. This agreement allows Jones to split his time between the Kings and their G-League affiliate, the Stockton Kings.
Jones, standing at 6-foot-8, made a significant impact during his collegiate career, particularly noted for his athleticism and scoring ability around the rim. As a first-team All-Pac-12 selection at Washington State, he averaged 15.3 points and 7.6 rebounds, playing a pivotal role in the team’s return to the NCAA Tournament after a long hiatus. His performance earned him recognition and paved the way for his professional journey.

Starting his college career at Wenatchee Valley College before moving to WSU and then Idaho, Jones shot an impressive 57.5% from the field last season, emphasizing his effectiveness close to the basket. Despite going undrafted, his ability to create scoring opportunities inside was evident, making him a valuable addition to the Kings’ developmental plans.
The signing of Jones comes shortly after former WSU teammate Jaylen Wells was drafted by the Memphis Grizzlies, underscoring the continued success of Washington State’s basketball program in producing NBA talent.
Jones now looks forward to making an impact in Sacramento, aiming to leverage his skills and determination to secure a more permanent role in the NBA.
