Indiana football coach Curt Cignetti’s 2025 recruiting efforts have seen substantial growth with the recent addition of Myles Kendrick, a promising wide receiver from Riverside High School in Jacksonville, Florida. The commitment of Kendrick marks a significant milestone for the Hoosiers’ recruitment strategy, bringing their total for the class to 18 talented athletes.

The decision by Kendrick to join Indiana came after his visit on June 18, a moment he celebrated with enthusiasm on social media, stating, “Let’s work!!” Standing at 6 feet tall and weighing 165 pounds, Kendrick demonstrated his skills on the field throughout his junior season, where he recorded impressive stats: 40 receptions totaling 710 yards and nine touchdowns. Not confined to just catching passes, Kendrick also showcased his versatility by rushing 16 times for 96 yards and an additional touchdown, highlighting his dynamic presence in multiple facets of the game.

Beyond football, Kendrick’s athletic prowess extends to track and field, where he competed in the 100-meter and 200-meter events for Riverside High School. His achievements on the track further underscore his athleticism, with notable performances that include qualifying regionally and clocking an impressive 11.03 seconds in the 100-meter dash.

Kendrick’s recruitment journey saw him field offers from a diverse range of collegiate programs, ultimately selecting Indiana over competitive bids from prominent schools such as Alabama State, Appalachian State, and Michigan State, among others. While Rivals ranks Kendrick as a three-star prospect, other recruiting platforms have yet to assess his potential, leaving room for Indiana to harness his talents and elevate their roster.

Guiding Kendrick’s integration into the Hoosiers’ football program is Mike Shanahan, who not only serves as the team’s new wide receivers coach but also assumes responsibilities as offensive coordinator under the leadership of Coach Curt Cignetti. Shanahan’s extensive coaching experience, which includes tenure at Indiana University-Pennsylvania, Elon, and James Madison, underscores his capacity to develop talent and maximize offensive strategies, a crucial asset as Indiana fortifies its lineup for the upcoming seasons.

With Kendrick’s commitment, Indiana’s 2025 recruiting class is positioned as the 48th-ranked group nationally, reflecting the program’s ongoing commitment to securing top-tier talent and building a competitive roster under Coach Cignetti’s tenure.

As preparations intensify for the upcoming campaign, Kendrick’s arrival promises to inject additional depth and skill into the Hoosiers’ receiving corps, setting the stage for continued growth and success in the highly competitive landscape of collegiate football.

In conclusion, Myles Kendrick’s decision to join Indiana University represents a pivotal moment not only for his burgeoning football career but also for the Hoosiers’ aspirations to elevate their standing in the NCAA. With a blend of athleticism, versatility, and potential, Kendrick embodies the caliber of athlete sought by Indiana as they continue to strengthen their roster and pursue excellence both on and off the field.
