Nuggets Reportedly Sign Versatile Forward to Two-Year Contract
The Denver Nuggets and free agent forward Dario Saric have reached a two-year, $10.6 million agreement, with a player option for the second year, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Saric, who averaged 8.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.2 assists with the Golden State Warriors last season, will join the Nuggets to strengthen their bench following the departure of Kentavious Caldwell-Pope in free agency. This move is expected to shift Christian Braun into the starting lineup.
Although Caldwell-Pope played as a wing, Saric is set to provide the necessary bench scoring to compensate for the loss, with Braun taking Caldwell-Pope’s spot in the starting five after he signed with the Orlando Magic.
Saric is recognized for his basketball IQ and brings extensive experience to Denver. Over his seven-year career, the 30-year-old has averaged 10.6 points and 5.4 rebounds, shooting 44.5% from the field and 36.2% from three-point range.
