Former Kansas basketball wing Johnny Furphy, selected by the Indiana Pacers as the 35th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, has officially signed his rookie contract with the team. The Pacers announced the deal on Saturday, which involved acquiring Furphy from San Antonio in exchange for Juan Nunez, the 36th pick, and additional cash considerations.
Furphy, a 6-foot-8, 190-pound player from Melbourne, Australia, will be on a standard four-year contract. The deal includes a first-year salary of $1.85 million and features a team option for the fourth year. Pacers General Manager Chad Buchanan confirmed the signing.

Pacers’ summer league coach Jannero Pargo praised Furphy’s performance in his initial practice, noting his solid shooting and work ethic.
