Breaking News: Key Player Rejoins Braves’ Lineup for San Diego Finale

The Atlanta Braves aim to enter the All-Star break on a high note as they conclude a three-game series with the San Diego Padres on Sunday. After winning the opener on Friday, the Braves were shut out on Saturday. Chris Sale will start for Atlanta, while Randy Vasquez will take the mound for San Diego.

Travis d’Arnaud returns to the lineup, batting sixth in the finale. He is 2-for-4 in his career against Padres’ starter Vasquez. Marcell Ozuna, hitting fifth, has a strong track record against Vasquez, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and a homer.

 

For the Padres, Manny Machado will play third base and bat third. He has had some success against Sale, going 7-for-22 with two doubles and a home run in his career. Xander Bogaerts will bat cleanup and play second base on Sunday, with a career record of 5-for-15, including a double, against Atlanta’s lefty.
