Ipswich Boss Predicts Long-Term Impact from New Signing

The 21-year-old striker has joined the Blues from Manchester City for £15 million, potentially rising to £20 million with add-ons.

Delap, who has been capped by England from U16 to U21 levels, experienced Premier League and Champions League football as a teenager and gained Championship experience during loan spells at Stoke, Preston, and Hull.

He has signed a five-year contract at Portman Road.

Blues boss McKenna said, “We are delighted to bring Liam to the club. We believe he has the qualities to help the team this season and become an important player for the club for many years. He possesses outstanding physical and technical attributes and is eager to continue learning and improving. With his early first-team experience, we see great potential for his development here.”
