Raducanu’s Ranking Soars Post-Oxford Decision

The tennis star has climbed significantly in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) rankings after her performances at Wimbledon this summer.

She won her first three matches at the 2024 Championships but was eventually defeated by Lulu Sun in the fourth round last Sunday.

These victories have propelled Raducanu up 41 places, returning her to the top 100 after a 15-month absence.

The 21-year-old will now enter the upcoming hardcourt swing in the United States ranked 94th in the world, despite her fourth-round exit at Wimbledon.

Before the Championships, Raducanu was seen at Corpus Christi College during a visit to Oxford University.

“I’m very much focused on my professional tennis career,” she stated in the post-match press conference.

“Once that’s over or once I have more time, I’d love to explore that option. For now, my focus is on tennis.”
