Breaking News: 4-Star CB Picks LSU Over Miami

For the second time this week, LSU and Miami are the finalists for a top cornerback. Four-star CB Jaboree Antoine has told Chad Simmons of On3 that he has narrowed his choices to LSU and Miami ahead of his commitment announcement on Saturday.

LSU recently secured five-star CB D.J. Pickett, beating out Miami and Oregon. Antoine will reveal his decision at 5 PM Eastern Time on Saturday. According to On3 National Recruiting Writer Keegan Pope, Miami is currently favored for Antoine’s commitment.

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine gives Miami a 63.9 percent chance of landing Antoine, with LSU at 33.4 percent. The only 247Sports crystal ball prediction for Antoine is for LSU, following his decommitment from the Tigers. Canes Insight reports that Miami remains confident in their recruitment of Antoine.

Ahead of Pickett’s commitment announcement on Wednesday, most projections had him choosing Oregon, with Miami as the secondary option. Pickett’s decision to join LSU was a surprise to many analysts. Antoine’s commitment is expected to be more closely contested between LSU and Miami.

Simmons and Florida State recruiting insider Michael Langston have both predicted in the RPM that Antoine will choose Miami ahead of his commitment announcement on Saturday, according to Pope. On3 ranks Antoine as the 87th overall prospect, ninth at cornerback, and second in Louisiana in their Industry Rankings.

In the 247Sports composite rankings, Antoine is listed as the 71st prospect, eighth at cornerback, and second in Louisiana. Standing 6’1″ and weighing 170 pounds, Antoine has the length that Miami’s coaching staff desires. Miami has already secured commitments from four-star cornerback Chris Ewald and three-star Timothy Merritt.

Miami is currently ranked ninth in the 247Sports class rankings and 11th in the On3 rankings. A commitment from Antoine would boost Miami to eighth in the 247Sports composite rankings, surpassing Oklahoma. Antoine would become the second-highest-ranked 2025 commit for Miami, following safety Hylton Stubbs.
