Despite the setback, McGuire has been instrumental for Orlando City this season, scoring seven goals in 17 starts. His impressive performance, including a total of 20 league goals since being drafted No. 6 in the 2023 MLS SuperDraft, has earned him a substantial pay raise under the new contract. While his current salary stands at $99,716, the new deal will see him earn designated player-level money, although Orlando City may choose to buy down the deal to avoid DP classification.
