Michigan Football Snatches Four-Star WR Away from Texas and USC

Four-star, top-100 wide receiver Andrew Marsh announced his commitment on Tuesday evening, deciding to play for Michigan football. Marsh made his choice from a group that included the Wolverines, Texas, USC, Washington, and Colorado.

“BREAKING: Four-Star WR Andrew Marsh has committed to Michigan, he tells me for @on3recruits,” Hayes Fawcett announced in a post. “The 6’1, 180-pound WR from Katy, TX, chose the Wolverines over Washington, Texas, USC, and Colorado.”

Andrew Marsh is ranked as the #58 player in the 2025 recruiting class by 247 Sports. He is the #8 wide receiver in the class and the #13 player in the state of Texas. Marsh currently attends Katy Jordan High School in Fulshear, Texas. Here’s what 247 Sports’ Gabe Brooks had to say about the star recruit in his scouting report:

“Explosive, productive receiver with a lean, wiry-strong build and impressive athletic abilities, particularly in high jump, vertical, and broad jump categories,” Brooks wrote. “A frequent big-play threat, largely due to his slippery strength and athleticism in run-after-catch situations.

His gait and play style may be unorthodox, but he fights through tackles and maintains balance to gain extra yards despite his lighter frame. A long-striding runner with build-up speed, he posted early high school 400-meter times in the low 50.00s and high jumped 6-4 as a junior.

His impressive vertical and broad jump numbers highlight his ability to win contested catches. He shows above-average route-leveraging for this stage of his development and has a unique ability to slip multiple defenders with a combination of deceleration, acceleration, balance, and body control.

As a junior, he gained more than 1,100 yards and enters his senior season with over 2,400 career receiving yards. He also adds value as a potential return game option, with one punt return touchdown in 2023.

To maximize his run-after-catch playmaking against bigger, stronger, faster Power 4 defenders, he’ll need to add some mass and strength. Marsh is a high-major receiver prospect with the potential to develop into an impact player with legitimate long-term NFL Draft upside.”

This is a significant acquisition for Michigan football. Andrew Marsh is one of the top wide receivers in the nation and seems set for an exceptional college career.https://967sports.com/?p=30274&preview=true
