The LA Galaxy signed three players in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft presented by adidas today. The Galaxy picked midfielder Jason Bucknor from the University of Michigan in the first round (No. 20 overall), forward Jacob Woznicki from Hofstra University in the second round (No. 60 overall), and forward Nicklaus Sullivan from MLS NEXT Pro’s LAFC2 in the third round (No. 90 overall). Additionally, the Galaxy traded the 30th overall pick to Real Salt Lake in exchange for $50,000 in 2025 General Allocation Money (GAM).
Bucknor, 22, was chosen in the first round after scoring nine goals and adding five assists in 59 games (46 starts) during his four years at Michigan (2021-24). He earned Big Ten All-Freshman Team honors in 2021 and was named to the Big Ten All-Tournament Team in 2023. In 2024, he scored a career-high seven goals and added an assist in 20 games (18 starts).
Woznicki, 22, recorded nine goals and five assists in 21 games (21 starts) for Hofstra in 2024, helping them win the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) title and earning First Team All-CAA and All-CAA Championship honors. Before transferring to Hofstra, Woznicki played three seasons at Stonehill College (2021-23), scoring 19 goals and recording seven assists in 50 games (47 starts).
Sullivan, 22, tallied four goals and three assists in 15 games (14 starts) for LAFC2 in 2024. He was eligible for the draft as he played college soccer at Cal State San Bernardino within 12 months of the draft. Over two seasons (2022-23), Sullivan scored nine goals and registered eight assists in 34 games (33 starts).
