Less than 24 hours after losing starting guard Emmanuel Pregnon to the transfer portal, USC has a golden opportunity to strengthen its offensive line by adding a top-tier talent.
5-star offensive tackle Elijah Pritchett, who started all 13 games for Alabama this season, has officially entered the portal, according to Hayes Fawcett. Standing at 6’6″ and 330 pounds, Pritchett has two years of eligibility left, making him an intriguing target for USC.
While Pregnon was a guard and Pritchett is a tackle, the Trojans are currently without a starting right tackle after Mason Murphy also entered the portal. USC has promising young tackle talent, but relying on untested players next season could be risky. Pritchett would be a significant upgrade on the right side and would allow players like Tobias Raymond and Justin Tauanuu to develop further.
