LSU Hit with Tough Loss in Transfer Portal on Sunday

The LSU Tigers remain a top college football program but missed out on the 12-team College Football Playoff after a season filled with highs and lows under head coach Brian Kelly. Finishing 9-4 overall and 5-3 in SEC play, LSU secured a Texas Bowl win over Baylor.

However, the team has faced notable departures through the transfer portal, including the loss of top recruit Bryce Underwood, the No. 1 quarterback in the 2025 class. Despite this, LSU will retain Garrett Nussmeier, setting the stage for another competitive season. Yet, the Tigers suffered another blow with veteran defensive lineman Jalen Lee entering the portal. Lee, a former four-star recruit with 36 career games, struggled with injuries and inconsistency, totaling just 21 tackles, one sack, and one forced fumble in his career.

His departure adds to the four defensive linemen LSU has lost this offseason, posing a challenge for the Tigers as they prepare for the 2025 season with high expectations.
