Alabama successfully persuades 4-star Saraland defensive lineman to switch his commitment from Auburn back to Alabama.

Alabama football reclaimed a commitment on Saturday, as Antonio Coleman, a recruit previously committed to Auburn, has decided to switch back to the Crimson Tide, as reported by Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports. Coleman announced the news on social media, expressing his allegiance with a “ROLL TIDE ROLL” message on Twitter.

Auburn initially celebrated when Coleman switched his commitment on December 23rd. The official team account even shared a video featuring defensive line coach Jeremy Garrett holding an ornament with the phrase “Merry Flipmas” on it, which Coleman also shared. Coleman had originally committed to Alabama before his initial change in December. Now, the Saraland defensive lineman has returned to Alabama’s 2025 class.

Standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing 285 pounds, Coleman is rated as a four-star prospect on the 247Sports composite, placing him as the No. 15 defensive lineman in the 2025 recruiting class and the No. 122 overall player in the class. He becomes the third commitment in Alabama’s 2025 class, joining four-star running back Anthony Rogers and four-star athlete Miles Johnson.

  1. Although early class rankings may not hold much weight at this stage, Alabama’s 2025 class currently ranks No. 38 nationally on the 247Sports composite. This class marks the first full recruiting cycle for new Crimson Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer in Tuscaloosa.
