Barron Trump Tipped for Surprise NBA Future with New York Knicks
Barron Trump, the youngest son of former President Donald Trump, is making waves—not in politics, but in sports. Standing at an impressive 6-foot-7, the 18-year-old has sparked speculation about a potential NBA future, with comedian and Knicks fan Michael Rapaport suggesting the New York Knicks should give him a shot.
“Big Body Barron is that dude,” Rapaport said in a video shared on social media. “The Knicks should sign him to a 10-day contract and see what he’s got. He looks like he has a soft touch!”
Despite the buzz, Barron doesn’t have a basketball background. His athletic endeavors have primarily been focused on soccer, with highlights of his games going viral in recent years. Barron played youth soccer for D.C. United during his father’s first term as president and even received advice from soccer legend Wayne Rooney.
Donald Trump, however, has admitted to encouraging Barron to explore basketball due to his towering height, matching the NBA’s average player height of 6-foot-7. Yet, he’s expressed concerns about more physical sports like football, citing safety reasons.
“Football is a dangerous sport,” Trump said in 2019. “I’ve always had a hard time with the idea of letting Barron play.”
While Barron’s basketball future remains speculative, athletic talent runs in the family. His niece, Kai Trump, has already made her mark in sports, committing to play collegiate golf at the University of Miami.
Outside of sports, Barron is also stepping into the business world. Along with two partners, he launched a luxury real estate company focusing on high-end properties and golf course developments in states like Utah, Arizona, and Idaho. Although the venture was briefly paused due to his father’s presidential campaign, plans are in place to resume operations post-election.
With his height, athletic potential, and entrepreneurial ambitions, Barron Trump is carving out his unique path, whether on the court or in business.
