The college football season has wrapped up, and with the transfer portal beginning to slow down after the title game, attention is now shifting to National Signing Day in February. High school recruits are set to finalize their college decisions, and Auburn football is working hard on both recruiting fronts as Hugh Freeze’s tenure faces increasing pressure.
So far, Auburn has made solid moves in the portal, bringing in players like quarterback Jackson Arnold from Oklahoma and wide receiver Eric Singleton Jr. from Georgia Tech, among others.
The Auburn football program is now hosting two four-star recruits from the Class of 2026, according to Tom Loy of 247Sports. Safety Bralan Womack and cornerback Nassir McCoy are both visiting Auburn, with each having received offers from the program.
McCoy, hailing from Buford High School in Georgia, is also drawing attention from Alabama, making him a highly sought-after prospect. Meanwhile, Womack, a standout at Hartfield Academy in Mississippi, has interest from top schools like Alabama and Ohio State, along with several other prominent programs.
Auburn’s recruiting efforts are crucial, especially after a disappointing 2024 season where the Tigers finished 5-7 overall and 2-6 in the SEC. With Oklahoma and Texas joining the SEC, the competition is only going to intensify, making it even more important for Auburn to secure top talent like Womack and McCoy.
If Auburn can land either or both of these recruits, it would be a significant boost to the Class of 2026 and a step toward improving the team’s future performance after recent struggles.
