Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown has been named to the NBA All-Star team as a reserve, marking the fourth time in his career he has received the honor. Brown will join teammate Jayson Tatum in representing the defending champions at this year’s showcase in San Francisco, solidifying their status as one of the league’s premier duos.

Brown has been a key piece for Boston this season, averaging 23.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 1.2 steals per game. However, his outside shooting has dipped, as he is hitting just 31.8% from three-point range.

Celtics Seeking Consistency

Despite maintaining their place among the NBA’s elite, the Celtics have hit a rough patch in recent weeks. Inconsistency has plagued the team, leading to losses in games they were expected to win. Brown acknowledged the struggles but remains confident the team will turn things around.

“It’s coming. It’s coming,” Brown said. “You just keep working. You got to keep fighting if you want to be what you say you want to be, got to be tested and you got to pass those tests and be worthy of it. It’s been hard. Shots are not going in. It’s looked a little bit ugly at times. Our offense has been a little bit [off]. The energy hasn’t been flowing the way it’s used to, but that’s all right.”

With plenty of time left in the season, Boston still has the opportunity to regain its dominant form. The Celtics’ championship aspirations hinge on their ability to stay focused and disciplined down the stretch, and Brown’s continued leadership will be crucial as they push toward another deep postseason run.
