Ohio State Extends Early Interest in 2027 Tight End Brock Williams

Recruiting never stops in Columbus, and the Ohio State Buckeyes are already looking ahead to the 2027 class. One name emerging on their radar is tight end Brock Williams, who will visit Ohio State from March 16-17 and return for another visit on April 5, according to On3’s Mick Walker.
Buckeyes Making an Early Push for Williams
Williams, who plays at Libertyville High School in Illinois, has started to gain traction in the recruiting world. While 247Sports has yet to assign him a star rating, Rivals has already labeled him as a four-star recruit for the 2027 cycle. His early offer list includes Auburn, Michigan, Oklahoma State, and Penn State—proof of his rising stock among major programs.
Ohio State has a strong tradition of developing tight ends, and their interest in Williams signals they see him as a potential key piece for the future. Given the Buckeyes’ history of success at the position, it wouldn’t be surprising to see them aggressively pursue him throughout the recruiting process.

Ohio State’s Tight End Plans for 2026 and Beyond
Williams isn’t the only 2027 tight end prospect on Ohio State’s radar. The Buckeyes are also recruiting four-star D’Angelo White, an in-state standout from Villa Angela-St. Joseph in Cleveland.
The Buckeyes have already secured talent at the position in previous classes. They signed four-star Nate Roberts and three-star Brody Lennon in the 2025 class, while also adding Purdue transfer Max Slare. For 2026, Ohio State has landed a verbal commitment from three-star Corbyn Fordham.
With two commitments already in the 2027 class—though neither at tight end—Ohio State appears focused on solidifying its depth at the position early. Williams’ upcoming visits could provide insight into how serious his interest in the Buckeyes truly is.
What’s Next?
Ohio State’s ability to land Williams could hinge on how his recruitment unfolds over the next year. With a strong offer sheet already, he will have plenty of options, but multiple visits to Columbus suggest the Buckeyes are firmly in the mix. If Ohio State continues its push, Williams could become a key addition to an already promising 2027 class.
For now, Buckeyes fans will have to wait and see if Williams’ interest turns into a commitment, but early signs indicate that Ohio State is positioning itself well in his recruitment.
