Adam Henrique
It has been an eventful week for the recently acquired forwards, Sam Carrick and Adam Henrique, of the Edmonton Oilers.
Just a week ago, the Anaheim Ducks faced a 2-1 loss against the Vancouver Canucks, with goalie Lukas Dostal making 29 saves out of 31 shots.
Two days later, as they prepared to play the Ottawa Senators, both Carrick and Henrique were traded to the Oilers.
Since then, they have played a few games each (Henrique three, Carrick two) but are still adjusting to their new team. It often takes time for new players to find their role within a team, considering factors like team dynamics and systems.

Neither player has scored a point yet, although Henrique had some opportunities during yesterday’s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, where he played on the second power play unit.
Earlier today, Henrique expressed his gratitude to the Ducks organization and their fans on social media, saying, “Thank you Anaheim! So many memories made in SoCal! Thank you to the Anaheim Ducks organization, my teammates, the staff, and of course the amazing Ducks fans! It was a pleasure to play in front of you! I am excited to be joining the Edmonton Oilers! Let’s go Oilers!”
It’s always nice to see a new player showing appreciation to their former team while expressing excitement about their new opportunity.
