The Carolina Panthers’ secondary becomes more intimidating with the acquisition of a safety from a rival NFC team.

Dan Morgan might have secured another impact player for the team. Former Los Angeles Rams safety Jordan Fuller is set to join the Carolina Panthers on a one-year contract worth $5.2 million, as reported by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Fuller visited with the Panthers on Friday, indicating that the agreement was likely reached during that meeting. A former sixth-round draft pick by the Rams, Fuller has prior experience with Panthers defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero. Evero served as Fuller’s position coach in 2020 and 2021, establishing a connection between the two.

Fuller’s arrival bolsters the Panthers’ secondary, which saw several high-profile free agents depart in the early stages of free agency.

In the 2023 season, Fuller showcased his ball-hawking skills, tallying three interceptions.

Additionally, on Friday, the Panthers secured a deal with outside linebacker K’Lavon Chaisson, further strengthening their roster.
