Toronto Raptors Update: Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett’s Return

Immanuel Quickley doesn’t have a set timeframe for his return. According to Raptors coach Darko Rajaković, Quickley, the guard for the Toronto Raptors, is currently dealing with a family issue. Rajaković mentioned this before the game against the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday. He stated that they’ll keep in touch with Quickley and take things one day at a time. To fill the gap left by Quickley’s absence, Toronto plans to use Bruce Brown Jr., Jahmi’us Ramsey, and Javon Freeman-Liberty at point guard. Additionally, Kelly Olynyk and Jontay Porter are expected to contribute to playmaking from the post. There’s still no specific return date for RJ Barrett, who remains away from the team following his brother Nathan’s passing. The Raptors view this as an opportunity to evaluate their bench players. Ramsey, in particular, has impressed with his dedication and work ethic, earning praise from Rajaković. Rajaković described Ramsey as a “gym rat” who consistently puts in extra practice time and shows a strong commitment to improvement. Jordan Nwora is anticipated to have an increased workload coming off the bench to support Ochai Agbaji.
