Breaking News: Sherrone Moore of Michigan stays unfazed by the spotlight…

Sherrone Moore brings a fresh perspective as he embarks on his first season as Michigan’s head coach, setting himself apart from Jim Harbaugh’s approach.

While Harbaugh embraced the spotlight from the moment of his hiring in December 2014, relishing in attention-grabbing tactics such as establishing satellite camps in SEC territory and hosting high-profile recruiting events, Moore has a different mindset.

Despite Michigan’s recent success, including a national title, Moore, who has been with the program since 2018, prefers to operate quietly.

In his first press conference since his introduction on January 27, Moore expressed his intention to keep the focus on the players rather than himself. He acknowledges the differences between himself and Harbaugh, emphasizing his desire for players to receive recognition and shine.

“I don’t want any attention on me; I want it on our players,” Moore stated. “Everything that has to do with the players, that’s what it’s all about.

I’m going to stay low and hidden as much as I can and let the players get the credit and the limelight, allow them to flourish and work as hard as I can to make sure they’re in a place to be successful.”
