VFL Team Announcement: 27-Year-Old Set to Make VFL Comeback with Lions…

Brisbane Lions’ off-season acquisition, Tom Doedee, is set to make his football comeback this Saturday. He has been included in the Lions’ lineup for their Round 1 match against Essendon in the 2024 Smithy’s VFL.

Making his comeback from an ACL injury, Doedee will don Lions colors for the first time. He joins new draftees Logan Morris, Luke Lloyd, and Reece Torrent, who have impressed during the preseason.

Key defender Jack Payne and versatile utility Kai Lohmann are also part of the squad traveling to Melbourne.

Jake Lohmann and Ewan Macpherson, fellow new VFL recruits, will make their club debuts at the VFL level. Additionally, Will Martyn will play his first game for the Lions since the 2019 NEAFL Grand Final.
