Breaking News: Brisbane Broncos Secure Extended Contract with Key Staff…
Kevin Walters, the head coach and revered figure of the Broncos, has agreed to extend his tenure with the club for another season, securing a new contract until the conclusion of 2026.
As reported by 9News journalist Ben Dobbin, Brisbane has decided to prolong Walters’ contract for an additional year, while also enhancing the terms for his remaining two years.
Having assumed the position from Anthony Seibold three years prior, the 56-year-old has overseen a remarkable transformation of the Broncos, elevating them from being at the bottom of the ladder to a formidable contender for the championship.
The previous season saw the Broncos narrowly miss out on securing their first NRL premiership since 2006, with their hopes dashed by a stellar performance from Nathan Cleary that left the team heartbroken.
In recent times, Walters has been instrumental in managing several crucial player contract extensions at Red Hill. Notably, five-eighth Ezra Mam has committed to staying with the Broncos, while there are speculations suggesting that star fullback Reece Walsh is close to finalizing a new agreement.
