Breaking News; A youthful forward has earned his place in the West Coast Eagles line.up…
Young forward Jack Williams has earned his spot in the West Coast Eagles lineup for the Easter Sunday clash against the Western Bulldogs at Marvel Stadium.
His inclusion, replacing developing ruckman Harry Barnett, was the sole change made by the match committee as they embark on a nine-day journey along the east coast.
Williams secured his selection following impressive performances in the last two WAFL Eagles practice games, notably last Saturday, where he showcased his reliability as a target inside the attacking 50 against Subiaco.
He managed to take six or seven marks in that area, demonstrating strong competitiveness and finishing skills. With 11 games under his belt, Williams aims to make an impact and solidify a position, especially in the absence of co-captain Oscar Allen, who is recovering from a knee injury.
The travelling emergency is young midfielder-forward Harvey Johnston, who has also impressed in practice matches. Johnston, drafted by the club at pick No.49 in the National Draft last November, has made a positive impression since joining the team.
The travel group will stay in Melbourne before heading directly to Adelaide next Thursday for the Gather Round match against Sydney at Mt Barker.
