“LSU Football: ESPN Analyst Sparks Debate Over Allegations of NFL Teams Branding Ex-Tigers Star Malik Nabers as ‘Divisive’ – Controversy Swirls in 2024 Offseason”

LSU’s football program maintains its reputation for nurturing future NFL talents, with two standout receivers, led by All-American Malik Nabers, poised for early selections in the upcoming NFL draft. Alongside Nabers, Brian Thomas Jr. is also anticipated to hear his name called on the draft’s opening day. Nabers stands a chance to surpass former LSU greats Justin Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase in draft prominence.

However, Nabers faces a setback in his draft prospects as reports surfaced alleging him to be ‘high maintenance’ within NFL circles. In response, Nabers dismissed these rumors, suggesting they stemmed from the necessity of selecting someone in the draft and landed on him. NFL veteran and ESPN analyst Robert Griffin III strongly defended Nabers, condemning those behind the rumors.

Despite the controversy, Nabers remains a top prospect, possibly landing with the New England Patriots as early as the third overall pick. Nonetheless, the ‘high maintenance’ label, emerging late in the draft process, may impact his overall draft stock, raising concerns about its authenticity and timing.

Griffin III criticized the anonymous sourcing of such reports, deeming it cowardly to tarnish a player’s character without accountability. Nabers, coming off a stellar 2023 season, stands out as one of the premier prospects in the draft, showcasing remarkable talent and athleticism during his time with LSU.

With a standout performance in the 2024 NFL draft, Nabers aims to follow in the footsteps of LSU’s legacy of producing top-tier NFL talent, cementing his status as one of the brightest stars in the league’s future.
