Following a disappointing loss to the University of Denver, Lane Hutson, defenseman for the Boston University Terriers, has signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Montreal Canadiens. According to PuckPedia, Hutson’s contract commences this season and includes a maximum salary of $855K and a signing bonus of $95K in each season. Additionally, he has the potential to earn $750K in “A” Performance Bonuses in the 2024-25 season and $850K in potential “A” bonuses in 2025-26.

Drafted 62nd overall by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2022 NHL Draft, Hutson has emerged as one of the most promising young offensive defensemen.
