The Minnesota Lynx have revealed Federated Insurance as their jersey patch partner.

The Minnesota Lynx have secured a fresh sponsorship deal with one of their long-standing corporate partners, marking a significant addition to the front of players’ jerseys starting from the 2024 WNBA season.

In an announcement made on Monday, the Lynx unveiled Federated Insurance, a Minnesota-based company headquartered in Owatonna, as their Jersey Patch Partner in a multi-year partnership. This collaboration emphasizes local connections and aims to amplify women’s sports while driving meaningful impact and change across communities statewide.

David King, the Lynx Senior Vice President of Corporate Partnerships, expressed enthusiasm about the local significance of this partnership, highlighting the stitching of Owatonna, Minnesota (home to Federated Insurance), and Rochester, Minnesota (home to Mayo Clinic) onto the team’s jerseys. He emphasized Federated Insurance’s commitment to purpose-driven initiatives, particularly in supporting youth mentoring and educational programs through their annual charity event, the Federated Challenge, in collaboration with Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Federated Insurance, a national insurance and risk management organization, embarks on its 20th year of partnership with the Lynx, demonstrating a shared commitment to community upliftment and fostering a championship culture. Chairman Jeff Fetters praised the Lynx as a source of pride for the state, emphasizing mutual values such as community engagement and championship aspirations.

The expanded partnership underscores the ongoing collaboration between the Lynx and Federated Insurance in community-focused endeavors, especially with Big Brothers Big Sisters in Southern Minnesota and the Twin Cities regions. Both organizations are aligned in their dedication to making a positive difference in the lives of youth and promoting women’s professional sports.

As part of the agreement, the Lynx will prominently feature Federated Insurance’s logo on all team jerseys throughout the 2024 season, including their Heroine, Explorer, and Rebel Edition uniforms. Fans can anticipate seeing the jersey patch debut during the Lynx’s first preseason game on May 4 at Target Center, followed by the official season opener against the Seattle Storm on May 14.
