Despite not holding a starting position with the Boilermakers this season, Gillis exhibited consistency as a valuable reserve, notably showcasing a 46.8 percent success rate from beyond the arc. With this addition, Gillis is poised to become Duke’s most seasoned player upon his arrival.
Gillis marks Duke’s second acquisition from the transfer portal, following the addition of Maliq Brown, formerly of Syracuse. With these signings, Duke’s roster expands to 10 players. Further additions may be considered, including the procurement of a backup point guard to support Tyrese Proctor and Caleb Foster.
