The Fremantle Football Club is delighted to announce the selection of Graham Kerr and Nicholas (Nick) Ellery to its Board of Directors, enhancing the leadership team with their extensive expertise. Kerr, presently serving as the CEO of South32 and previously as the CFO of BHP, brings profound experience in finance and leadership. His notable achievements include significant corporate transformations such as the demerger of South32 from BHP, underscoring his strategic prowess and commitment to sustainability, diversity, inclusion, and innovation. This appointment is part of a deliberate succession plan, ensuring a seamless transition for Craig Carter, the current Finance and Infrastructure Committee Chair (and Vice President), whose term concludes in November 2024.
Accompanying Kerr on the Board is Nick Ellery, a distinguished Barrister with expertise in legal and risk management, particularly in areas concerning health and safety, workplace injuries, and employee relations. Ellery’s addition enriches the Board’s capabilities in governance, legal matters, and risk management, reinforcing the Club’s commitment to compliance and excellence.
Fremantle president Chris Sutherland expressed his enthusiasm for these strategic appointments, highlighting their significance in equipping the Board with the necessary skills to propel the Club forward.
