Gonzaga

Bill Self has been actively utilizing the transfer portal to bolster the Kansas basketball program this offseason. Following the Jayhawks’ exit in the Round of 32 with a loss to,  Gonzaga Self has secured several notable players, positioning KU as one of the top contenders for the upcoming season.

Keeping track of the transfer portal activity can be challenging, but we’ve got you covered. Here’s a tracker that we’ll keep updating whenever a Jayhawk enters the transfer portal or commits

Incoming transfers:

1. Riley Kugel (March 31): Kugel announced his commitment to the Jayhawks last month after spending two years at Florida. While he hasn’t yet signed his letter of intent, he is expected to join the team in Lawrence for the upcoming season.

2. Zeke Mayo (April 2): A hometown player from Lawrence, Mayo chose KU as his dream school and committed shortly after Kugel. With his impressive performance as the Summit Player of the Year as a junior, Mayo is anticipated to have a significant role in the team.

3. AJ Storr (April 18): Storr, who previously played for Wisconsin, brings valuable experience to the Jayhawks. As the leading scorer for Wisconsin last season, he should make a strong impact alongside standout player Hunter Dickinson.

4. Rylan Griffen (April 26): Griffen, a key contributor to Alabama’s recent Final Four appearance, excels in shooting from beyond the arc. His versatile skills are expected to earn him a spot in the starting lineup.

Outgoing transfers:

None reported yet. Kansas is among the few schools that haven’t lost any players to the transfer portal, indicating stability in their roster. The coaching staff is likely to maintain the current roster unless any players decide to transfer out.
