Self hinted on the NCAA March Madness podcast that Kugel’s arrival at KU is now uncertain, with speculation suggesting an academic issue may be to blame.
As a result, Kugel finds himself back in the transfer portal, once again exploring his options. Among those showing interest are the Kansas State Wildcats, along with Mississippi State and other programs. While it would be unconventional for a player to switch from KU to K-State within a few months, the current landscape of college basketball transfers is anything but typical.
