Previous Formula 1 team owner spreads a troubling rumor about the Red Bull car for the 2024 season.
Giancarlo Minardi , a former Formula 1 team owner, has disclosed that he’s been informed, through sources in England, about rumors suggesting that Red Bull’s car for the 2024 season will surpass the performance of the RB19.
Securing triumph in 21 of the 22 races this season, Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez piloted an exceptionally dominant car.
Under the leadership of Christian Horner and with the expertise of Adrian Newey, Red Bull crafted a remarkably powerful vehicle, making it a near-perfect season, with the exception of an exceptional performance by Carlos Sainz in Singapore preventing a clean sweep for the team in 2023.
Despite the regulations undergoing adjustments in two years, fans are somewhat relieved that teams will now be granted a three-month period to narrow the gap with Red Bull and bring them back into contention.
Will Red Bull dominate F1 in 2024?
However, those expectations might have been completely dashed, as Minardi concedes that Red Bull could potentially become even more dominant in the upcoming season.
In response to being asked if Red Bull would be less dominant in 2024, Minardi expressed caution, stating, “Everyone says yes, that they will be. But I would wait a little bit to say that. They have an advantage that at this moment I think is difficult to bridge. Analyzing the 2023 races thoroughly, I’ve gotten the idea that Verstappen has never shown us the best of his ability. And that doesn’t give us much hope. Moreover, reports from England suggest that their 2024 car is even better.”
